About the procedure
Modern ophthalmic surgery is characterized by a wide range of highly specialized procedures. Each surgical technique places its own demands on the geometry, fineness, ergonomics, and material selection of the instruments used. Geuder AG develops tailored instrument sets for a growing number of these procedures – always in close collaboration with the surgeons who use them every day.
Pars plana vitrectomy (PPV)
The complete Geuder ecosystem for PPV comprises trocar systems, vitrectors, light pipes, endolasers, and tamponades – coordinated through the modular megaTRON S4 HPS system.
Buckling surgery
For scleral buckling-assisted procedures in retinal detachment, Geuder offers specialized buckling implants as well as surgical accessories for precise, tissue-sparing techniques.
Yamane technique – Suture-free IOL fixation
The Yamane double-needle technique enables suture-free scleral-fixated IOL implantation. Geuder's Yamane double-needle stabilizer supports the exact positioning of the haptic ends for stable, centered IOL fixation without suture material.
Hattenbach iris suture & IOL fixation
For iris suture-fixated IOL implantation, the specialized Hattenbach iris suture and IOL fixation hybrid instrument set is available – developed for a precise, atraumatic approach on the delicate iris.
Snyder-Osher IOL explantation
The Snyder-Osher IOL explantation instruments enable astigmatism-neutral explantation of intraocular lenses through the smallest incisions – for gentle, low-complication removal even in complex IOL situations.
Jacobovitz multifunction chopper
The Jacobovitz multifunction chopper combines several functions in a single instrument, thereby reducing intraoperative instrument changes – for more efficient workflows in lens disassembly.
