Product description

Surgical sutures are certified medical devices that replace the mechanical bridging function of missing tissue integrity over the short, medium, or long term. For rapid and effective wound healing, the suture material should establish the greatest possible contact between the separated tissue portions. Demanding ophthalmic surgical applications require high-quality suture materials for the best possible wound apposition while keeping tissue trauma to a minimum.

Geuder AG offers a broad portfolio of surgical needles and threads for almost all ophthalmic surgical indications that call for precise suturing. NanoEdge® suture material meets high surgical demands and delivers optimal results with minimal scarring. NanoEdge® stands for quality products developed together with leading surgeons to provide practical and effective solutions for ophthalmology.

NanoEdge® needles are made from a high-grade, bend- and break-resistant special steel. Thanks to the innovative and highly automated manufacturing process, precise needle geometries and accurate needle grinds can be achieved, enabling the suturing of the finest tissue types in the most confined spaces. The high-quality surface finishing of many NanoEdge® needles offers optimal penetration and therefore minimal tissue trauma. The result is reliable wound apposition with barely visible scars for the best possible restoration of tissue function.

  • High bend and break resistance
  • Optimized penetration behavior
  • Accurate needle grind
  • Minimal tissue trauma
